Corvallis, the seat of Benton County, was listed number 7 in Men's Journal Magazine (2005) as one of "The 50 Best Places to Live". Home of Oregon State University and Hewlett-Packard, Corvallis has a youthful vitality and is an ideal site for new ideas and tech start-ups.

While Oregon wine country has been named "most romantic destination" in the 2nd annual Fodor's Choice Destination List, the Willamette Valley is also gaining world-wide fame as one of the Pacific Northwest's finest wine appelations.  And if you are a micro-brew fan - check out two of the best in the Mid-Valley. First up is Calapooia Brewing Company in downtown Albany, and then in Corvallis there is the Block 15 Brewery.
